Travel to the Chateau

The Chateau is located in the Burgundy, France, about 1.5 hour train ride outside of Paris (3.5 hour drive).

The following are your options to get to the Chateau.

1. Rent a car and drive from Paris, Lyon or Geneva

2. Take the train from Paris (very cool) to Dijon and get on the provided Chateau shuttle Monday at 3pm.

   
   

BOOKING TRAIN TO/FROM PARIS TO DIJON

Please book ASAP, trains are starting to fill up.  Suggested trains based on the day. There are only a few good options Friday May 24th left, I suggest booking today.

A few quick tips:

·   Website to book:   https://www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/

·   Download this app on your phone as well. It is easier to book on your computer verses the app, but you will need it to access your tickets. 

·    Book first class if you want to make sure you sit together, pick your seat and have an easier time getting on your luggage.  It is a nominal difference in price if you book early.

PARIS STATION: Paris Gare de Lyon

DIJON STATION: Dijon ville train station

Sunday arrival to Dijon:

Train Option1: 11:18am arrives at 12:52

Train Option 2: 2:52pm arrives at 4:31

·      If you are staying at Hotel Grand La Cloche in Dijon they will accept your luggage even if your room is not ready until 3pm.

·      You can also stay at https://www.oceaniahotels.com/en/oceania-le-jura-dijon

·      Both are walking distance from the train – less than 10 mins

Monday arrival to Dijon:

11:18 train arrives at 12:52

· THIS IS THE ONLY DIRECT TRAIN AVAILABLE THAT WILL GET YOU THERE IN TIME FOR THE SHUTTLE – BOOK ASAP IF COMING MONDAY. Some guests are already booked in train car 2 on the 11:18am if you want to sit together.

· Shuttle picks up at 3pm to go to the Chateau

Friday departure Dijon:   The shuttle leaves the Chateau at 11am

1.     1:26pm arrives at 3:14pm

2.     2:43 arrives at 4:20pm

3.     5pm arrives at 6:42pm

NOTE: IF the times are not showing up try booking each separately as a one way not a round trip. For some reason the round trip option can impact what shows available.  If you still do not see the time as listed above, click on the “display previous journeys button” at the top of the schedule and they should populate earlier times.

This can be extremely confusing so if you'd like to do this please let us know and we can help you. We are happy to get on the phone and help book tickets - we have done this for guests and it makes it very easy!
