FLYING IN: 

Closest airports: 

Paris, France

Lyon, France

Geneva, Switzerland 

Paris, France: CGD or ORLY

Personally we have found ORLY to be incredibly easy to fly into, it is smaller then CGD and closer to Paris city center.  If you can find a flight into ORLY that would be our suggestion.  That being said CGD is also fine! 

Lyon, France: 

Small airport that will likely not have a nonstop from the US.  Great if flying from within the UK or if you do not mind a non stop.  This is the closest airport to the Chateau.   

Geneva, Switzerland: 

Other than Lyon, this airport is closest to the Chateau.  We have been informed by the Chateau, and our family it is a beautiful and easy drive from Geneva to Burgundy.  Should you wish to experience Switzerland before or after the wedding this airport is a great choice. 

FLYING OUT: 

Flying out of France (esp Paris) seems to be a bit of a pain in the ass.  The French do things differently…slowly… and the Paris airports tend to be extremely crowded.   You will need to arrive to the airport with AMPLE time to spare.  I suggest at least 3-4 hours. 

Should you wish to avoid this, you can fly out of Geneva, Switzerland. As mentioned above, this is an easy drive from the Chateau.  I believe there is also a train that goes straight from Dijon to Geneva.  More information about trains can be found in the travel to the Chateau section.

AIRLINE OPTIONS:

From California:

• French Bee https://us.frenchbee.com/en is a more "inexpensive" airline option that has direct flights between LAX and ORLY (Paris). They do not have first class/lay down seats available.

• We have actually found flights from San Diego to be better priced than flights from LAX (unless you are flying French Bee).

From NYC/New Jersey

• French Bee https://us.frenchbee.com/en is a more "inexpensive" airline option that has direct flights between LAX and ORLY (Paris). They do not have first class/lay down seats available.

• La Compagnie https://www.lacompagnie.com/en/ (all business class airline direct from Newark to ORLY (Paris). This airline also flies direct between Newark and NICE and Milan. This is great to note should you plan to go to the South of France or Italy after the wedding.

From all departing airports:
